Shipping weight is calculated by dimensional weight, as well as actual weight. For this reason the actual weight of the products may be less than the shipping weight. Dimensional weight applies to oversized boxes, residential surcharges may also apply to rural areas. We strive to use a service that offers the best shipping price in order to save the customer money.
While we strive to keep everything in stock, it is not always possible. Our current order fill rate is 97% complete within 3 business days. Purple Martin Houses are made to order, and are usually shipped within 5 business days. If there are any items that can’t be shipped within 5 business days, we will call or e-mail you with the expected ship date. Delivery time will vary depending on your location.
Confirming Your Order Status
After you submit your online order, you should receive a email message with your order number. When the order is shipped, an email confirmation with tracking information will be sent to you. This is why you should supply a valid email address, unless you do not have one. We do not give or use your email address for any other purpose. If you wish to receive our newsletter, you need to sign up as directed on our home page.
In some cases, we may be able to ship orders by UPS Next Day Air. To find out if this is possible; you must call 877-843-0770 before you place your order.
We firmly stand behind all products purchased from Amish Gourds. If you receive an item that you’re not happy with, we will gladly replace it free of charge, as long as you notify us by e-mail within 15 days of shipment date. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the purchaser.
Please contact us as soon as you have inspected your shipment. State the reason you are not happy with the item. Include your order number, phone number where you can be reached during business hours and evening hours, and we will contact you. At that time, we will give you instructions on how to send the item back. Once we receive the item, we will send a replacement. There is a 10% restocking charge for refunds for reasons other than defective merchandise.
If you receive damaged merchandise, please notify us as soon as possible. We normally do not require you to return broken gourds. We will file a claim with the shipper if the damage occurs during shipping. We will send you a replacement item if this occurs.
Due to the increase in credit card processing fees, we can no longer issue a 100% refund on an order that is canceled before shipping. There will be a $1.50 – $3.50 charge (depending on the amount of the sale, for any order that has gone thru the credit approval process. Please be sure your order is what you want before processing it for payment. Thank you.
Please double check your shipping address to make sure it is correct. UPS and FED EX now charge a $12.50 fee for any address correction, even a missing Unit number, letter or number that is not 100% accurate. We will bill back this charge to the customer. USPS will return a package to us if they are not able to deliver due to an incorrect address. We will have to rebill for shipping a returned package if the address correction is the customer error.
