September 12 - 13 2009 68th Annual North Carolina Gourd Arts and Crafts festival This event features arts and craft and gourd vendor displays offering sales of gourds, gourd craft and gourd art and has a free hands-on ground crafting table for children as well as many gourd-u-cation stations and displays of historic and cultural use of gourds. Hours: Sat 9 am- 5 pm and Sun 10 am - 4 pm. Admission is $4 for adults, $3 for seniors (65+ years old), $2 for children ages 12 - 17. Children under 12 admitted free. www.ncgourdsociety.org.
