Just added to our Gourd Carving Tools , a new tool, the 149SP-9. Very similar to the 146US, but does not cut as deep a U shape. Preferred by gourd artists. U. J. Ramelson makes tools for chip carving and relief carving on gourds and wood. Our Gourd Carving Kit is exclusive to Amish Gourds.

We also carry some individual tools that are popular with Gourd Carvers. All the gourd carving tools that we carry are palm tools. These palm tools are 6" long and designed to fit comfortably in your hand even after hours of carving. The handle has a flat spot on the bottom to keep the tool secure while working it into the gourd. The proper way to use the tool is to gently push it into the gourd while rocking the tool in a pivoting motion. Force is not required and anyone can do it.
